The meniscus is divided into several zones and not every zone can be reconstructed by suturing the meniscus, but in indicated cases it is our priority. We use modern implants such as the meniscal cinch and meniscal cinch II from Arthrex ( www.arthrex.com ). At the same time, the outside-in method is used in the outer zone of the meniscus. It is also necessary to understand the possibilities of \u201creconstruction\u201d of the meniscus. Our orthopedists are all knowledgeable and experienced in these reconstructions and always, if there is a possibility to suture and reconstruct your meniscus, they take into account mainly your health and not how quickly you need to heal.<\/p><p>We are also now performing <strong>meniscus transplantation<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Cartilage injuries:<\/strong><\/p><p>Cartilage injuries are one of the most serious injuries to the knee joint. There are several types of cartilage injuries, and at our clinic we are able to offer you a comprehensive solution. Among the basic treatments for cartilage is their re-anchoring and gluing back into place. For this purpose, we use \u201cchondral dart\u201d implants in combination with the application of ACP\/blood plasma\/. Unfortunately, cartilage injuries often occur that are no longer intended for reconstruction - a so-called \u201cdefect\u201d of the cartilage is created. These defects are divided into 4 degrees according to the \u201couterbridge\u201d. Subsequent therapy is also chosen depending on the degree of damage. Grades 1 to 3 are for local treatment with drilling and so-called \u201cgrinding\u201d of the cartilage. For grade 4 \/the worst with exposure of the bone under the cartilage\/ we choose Graftnet implantation in the first or second stage, with which we have very good experience.<\/p><p><strong>Anterior (LCA)\/posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury:<\/strong><\/p><p>Treatment of the anterior cruciate ligament in our workplace is a very common operation. We can currently offer you all possible and known types of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. From the most modern reconstruction methods such as InternalBrace and the even newer no-bone-lost InternalBrace, after which there is the fastest return to sports activities \/see the article InternalBrace in our workplace\/ to classic plastic surgery such as all-inside ACL repair \/ reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament without scars\/, BTB and STG plastic surgery using the classic method, LCA reconstruction with cadaveric grafts \/from donors\/. As fixation elements, we use the most modern implants mainly from Arthrex, as well as Johnson&amp;Johnson and Biomet sport medicine. What type of anterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery will be the best for you? We decide according to the type of ACL injury, the distance from the injury and, last but not least, your sports and work activities.<\/p><p>Reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament (hereinafter referred to as LCP) using BTB and STG grafts is a standard operation in our department. Here too, we are able to offer you the most modern methods such as all-inside LCP reconstruction and even refixation of tibial LCP avulsion. LCP injuries are often associated with injuries to the so-called posterolateral complex - here we supplement the reconstruction with open surgery. LCP reconstruction is a demanding operation, which is why only Dr. Mach\u00e1\u010dek and Dr. Malec deal with this issue in our clinic, and this operation is always performed only in mutual assistance between these two orthopaedists. However, taking into account the large number of patients operated on with this type of injury, this operation is already quite common in their performance.<\/p><p>We are equipped not only with the most modern technology and implants, but also with the experience of our doctors from foreign internships.
